There are a growing number of events connected to social entrepreneurship. Many of them happen in our home city, demonstrating what an incredible hub of activity Calgary is. The Trico Foundation team is pleased to attend many of them and wish we could attend more.
This list from the last 30 days is our attempt to thank the hosts of these events and help get the word out about their great work:
- Indigenous Innovation Summit hosted by National Association of Friendship Centres held in Edmonton, Alberta from November 7th-9th, 2016.
- The Challenges of Social Impact hosted by the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
on November 14th, 2016 where we heard from Lucky Iron Fish, CUPS, Calgary Counselling Centre, Deepwater Farms, Theater Junction Grand and the Leftovers Foundation who are actively making a difference in our communities. - Engineering Associates Program breakfast: Sparking entrepreneurship and innovation on your team hosted by the Schulich School of Engineering on November 17th, 2016.
- Global Challenges Hackathon hosted by the Hunter Centre for Entrepreneurship and Innovation on November 17th, 2016.
- A gathering of some of Trico Foundation’s past grantees on November 24th, 2016.
- Sharon Carry’s Leadership Celebration hosted by Bow Valley College & presented by Chiniki Trico on November 24th, 2016.
